Non Sequitur
I'm skimming some Shugo Chara eps to snip transformation sequences from them, and I keep being struck by this one observation:
Ikuto's Magical Boy outfit is hilariously stripperiffic. Like even when he's not actively trying to seduce the audience — sometimes he'll just be standing there in his Black Lynx duds watching a fight or listening to someone talk and I'll be like "Ikuto you are SO NUDE." It's not just the midriff top, it's also that his pants are riding awfully low, and the animators make a point of outlining his hipbones in a way that is... extremely distracting.
Heck, it's so distracting that I'm having difficulty finishing this post in some sort of coherent fashion. I keep trying to type things, but my brain just reverts to a constant stream of "MIDRIFF MIDRIFF MIDRIFF ABS HIPBOOOONES"
So yeah, I guess there's no point in trying to continue this post. I may as well just go stare at his midriff some more.
