Katara/Aang Picspam, Part 2

Part 2, this time with more angst!






So Season 2 starts and Aang is having cracky dreams again.





And Katara is worried about him. So basically business as usual, right?





Oh you crazy kids.



Just make out already! Jeez.



So they go visit the crazy Earth general who wants Aang to defeat the Fire Lord now, and Katara's like "What the shit is this nonsense?"



But the general lays the guilt trip on Aang.



And he starts to think maybe he should go for it.



Katara is not pleased.



So they have this big heart-to-heart about the Avatar State and whatever.





But Katara can't change Aang's mind.



So she just leaves.



Next day rolls around and the general goes apeshit and tries to kill Aang!



And Katara turns up and she's like "Oh no you di'in't!"



But then the general decides to kill Katara instead!





And awwww AANG. Is going out of his MIND thinking about how Katara is moments from death just because he can't seem to get into the Avatar State.







And finally the general "kills" Katara...



And Aang goes fucking BATSHIT.



Fortunately for everyone, Katara is actually alive, but it's a little too late for that.



And Aang's like YOU WOULDN'T LIKE ME WHEN I'M ANGRY, FUCKERS.



So he destroys like EVERYTHING.



And is seriously freaked out when he comes to.



But Katara's there to give him a hug and make everything better.



So then later Katara and Aang are practicing together.



Katara’s like “Hmm we’re scantily clad and waterbending together. This is a perfect opportunity to cop a feel.”



So she’s like O HAI THAR and Aang is like MEEP.



But Aang pays her back by snaking one of his octopus tentacles around her ankle. OBVIOUS.



GRATUITOUS NEKKID SOKKA.



Then the kids hang out with some hippies.



Who tell them about the secret tunnel that's only passable if you are able to trust in love.



Aang thinks about that for a moment...





...and he's like "Believe in love? No problemo!"



But then they get trapped in the caves.



And Aang rescues Katara from falling rocks.



And they find themselves separated from the rest of the group, and we're like "Well THIS is interesting!" *wink wink nudge nudge*



They discover the tomb of the Two Lovers.



And Katara's like "Hey Aang, look, it's a metaphor for us" and Aang's like "Well let's hope we don't wind up with the depressing ending too."

So Katara’s like “So I have this really lame idea that probably won’t work anyway” and Aang’s like “Let’s hear it!”



“Well what if we kissed?”



*Just felt his brain explode*



And Katara's like "LOLZ, I know, right?"



And Aang catches on and he's like "Oh right, kissing is ew!"



And Katara's like "Well you don't have to be THAT grossed out. Jeez!"



Oh Aang. So cute. So clueless.



But then their torch is about to go out.



And they're all sad because they think they're going to die in there.



And then the music starts up and it is like the SHIPPIEST music in the history of the world and I LOVE IT.





And their noses are like 2 inches apart when the lights go out.



And we’re like DID THEY KISS? DID THEY KISS?



WELL DID THEY?



And Mike and Bryan are like LOLOLOLOLOL and we are like GAAAH FUCK YOU MIKE AND BRYAN.



Also, please note the CUTENESS of their intertwined fingers.



So they're like "Awesome, we're saved!"



And Aang gets this adorable smile on his face and we're like "But what does it all MEAN?"



They meet Sokka and his enormous earthbendy friends on the way out.



And Aang's like "We let love lead the way!" *cheesey grin*



And I love this cap to death because of Sokka's "What on earth were you two DOING in there?" facial expression.



And as if in answer, Katara gets all blushy.



Then they visit Omashu, where Katara and Aang get to look picturesque together.



I have undying love for the fact that Sokka's the one holding the baby, not Katara. Thank you, Avatar genderfuck!



And then they get lost in a swamp.



Then they find a town where the citizens think the best way to kick off a party is by burning effigies of Aang!



And Katara's like "Noooo not the face!"



So she's like "No one disses my boyfriend like that and gets away with it!"



But Aang is a stand-up guy and lets himself get arrested.



Then Katara goes shoe-shopping.



And Aang gets some dating advice from his fellow prisoners.



The Gaang meets Toph, who joins the group.



But unfortunately she and Katara don't get along so well, and Aang's like "You guys need to take a chill pill, mmkay?"



And Katara’s like CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT I AM A FUCKING OCEAN OF CALM?!



Then Aang gets pinned down and almost killed by Azula.



But Katara rescues him in the nick of time.





Then Toph starts teaching Aang earthbending.



And Katara is unsure about Toph's teaching skillz.



Then Aang has to stop a rock and Katara's like "Is this really the best way to do this?"



And Toph's like "Oh yeah, you're right, I forgot the bondage." Because everything is better with bondage. I learned that from watching Lost, lol.



And Aang's like "Thanks a heap, Katara!"



And Katara's like "Ummm... I did it for the lulz?"



But then Aang fails at stopping the rock and Toph’s like “Your sucky earthbending makes me want to puke all over your head, sir!”



So Katara's like "Hey I know what will make you feel better."



"Getting naked and waterbending together!"



And Katara reassures Aang.



And he calls her Sifu.



And all is well again.



Then they visit a library and what's the first thing Katara does? That's right, she looks for books about Aang! Aww.



But then they lose Appa and Aang gets all emo and flies away.





Katara is worried, but she takes charge anyway.



Aang finally returns, sans Appa of course.



And Katara tries to reassure him, but the Aangst is strong in this one, so it doesn't work.



And Katara's like "Fuck this, we are getting out of this desert even if I have to drag you all out with my teeth!"



Then they find the Sandbenders and Aang goes all glowy with rage over Appa.



And everyone hauls butt out of there.



Everyone except Katara.



Because when she looks at Aang, she doesn't see a scary monster.



She just sees her best friend in pain.



And she knows that the best remedy for that...



...is a hug.











So then later the Gaang are hanging out by the swimming pool.





Katara's still worried about Aang.



But he’s like “Appa? Please, I am so over that fluffy bastard.”



And she's like "Ummm, ok, whatever."



But then Aang starts talking about how they have to abandon hope, all ye that enter here.



And Katara's like "Okay, this is serious."



She tries to talk to him about it.



And Katara’s like "You need a hug!”





But Aang’s like “Sorry, my new stiff upper lip philosophy frowns on such mushy behavior.”



And Katara’s like “HEY JACKASS, DID IT OCCUR TO YOU THAT I MIGHT WANT A HUG?”



Then later they get attacked by the Serpent, currently of Serpent's Pass.



And Katara and Aang spring to action!







And together...



...they waterbend that sucker into oblivion!



And then Aang flies Katara back to dry land, and come on Mike and Bryan, would it have killed you to give us a close-up of that?



And then the baby is born and Aang gets all teary.





And he and Katara kiss and make up.





Well, more like hug and make up. :D





And then Katara fixes his collar which is OMG SO CUTE!



Then they do some more waterbending in sync to take down this drill thing.





When they get into Ba Sing Se, Katara and Aang sit together on the train.



And look cute together.



And then Katara and Toph get all dressed up.



And Aang's like "ZOMG now I have TWO hot girlfriends! This is getting out of hand."



I'm forget what's going on here, I just thought they looked adorable.



So then Aang's about to fly off to meet the Guru.



And Katara's there to bid him bon voyage.



And poor Aang tries yet again to tell her how he feels.



But Sokka ruins it! Damn you Sokka!



This has nothing to do with Kataang. I just thought these two looked adorkable together.



But even though Aang didn't confess his lurve to Katara, he still gets a hug out of the bargain.



And a kiss!



Sokka's all pleased with himself because Suki will be there when he gets back.



And Aang's like "Yeah, girls are waiting for us" and OMG CUTE.



Then Aang works with the Guru to master the Avatar State.



And in the process we learn that all of Aang's love for his entire race,



his entire dead race,



is reborn in the form of his love for Katara.



And dude, if you're not shipping them by the time this happens, FOR GODSAKES JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON BEFORE IT LEAVES TOWN!



But then Aang finds out that to master the AS, he has to give up Katara.



And he's like "What is this, Star Wars? I didn't sign up for this Jedi crap!"



But the Guru convinces him to try anyway.



And just when it looks like he's managed it...



...he sees a vision of Katara in trouble!



And Aang's like "Don't worry Padme, I'll save you!"



But that means he can't go into the Avatar State! O noes!



Aang tracks down Katara safe and sound in the Cave of Wonders.



And she's like "Yay, boyfriend to the rescue!"



But then they've got to high-tail it out of there because Azula's in hot pursuit.



And then there's an awesome fight scene! Woo!





I have to say that Aang's "silhouette of air" trick is one of the coolest things this show has ever come up with.







Unfortunately Team Kataang is getting the shit kicked out of them.





And Aang finally realises that to save Katara he has to let go of Katara, which is kind of deliciously meta.







So he bites the bullet and goes into the Avatar State.







And Katara is so proud of him. Aww, look at her. :-)



But then this happens.



And there's really nothing funny I can say about this scene.





Katara springs to action and creates a GIANT TIDALWAVE OF LOVE.



So that she can catch Aang...



...right at the last second.



And the look on her face here just slays me. It seems to say "You just took away the person I care most about in the whole world. What else could you possibly do to hurt me?"



But Iroh steps up to help and Katara's able to escape with Aang.





I don't think this scene really needs any commentary.
